The willow tube

That's what my flappers love, it's very hard beak work as you can see.
In the beginning it looks like this:

http://www.zooplus.de/shop/nager_kle...hoehlen/161034

It's a typical German toy for birds and small animals made of a natural material.

That looks fun! I had a similar toy made of natural sponge. It was big and my parrotlet was afraid of it. I bet my GCC would love both of them.

In the beginning my linnies also were afraid of it. So first I put it on a chest of drawers near their cage. Then I put it on their playing gym, and after three weeks they began to use it.

Try looking in the rodent supply area of your pet store..they have a lot of willow and other chewables that are suitable for parrots.

I buy a lot of chew toys for my birds in the small animal / rodent supply area. The same toys will cost twice as much in the bird aisle.

This is nearly the same collection like in the small animal unit of our MegaZoo in Duesseldorf.
I feel like at home.

I found something new my flappers like.

It's a willow basket with hay inside. They love to chew and discover things dried blossoms or rough bluegrass.

I have similar things! I need to get the girls one of these willow tubes. They are starting to chew the newspaper again :/

Look here, these prices are much better.
The one imported from UK is exactly the same we have.

Great toys! Our guys have been using the box for the filter from our ice maker, but it's time to replace the tattered box and these tunnels would be perfect. They love their grass mat and willow balls.

I bought a half enclosed one for each of the girls a week or two ago from petsmart small animal section. They seem to like it and they were only $2 each. Trying anything to curb Cozette's newspaper addiction. Here is Gemma with hers.

Ok, now I have to find a Petsmart. All the others are close, but not that one!
