kings cages 605 stainless steel aviary

This is my first post on this site. I have owned one African gray for about 18 years and another one was bought a few years ago from a Lady in my town that was dying of cancer. I wanted to post this because I couldn't find much posted about this product when I did a search on the internet prior to purchasing. I ordered a 6 foot aviary from Cheek's custom cages www.cageworks.com and this was over 3months ago and never received it. I was billed for it however. I contacted them numerous times and was assured it would ship soon. The last few emails got no response and their phone listed on their internet site had been disconnected. Luckily my credit card company agreed to dispute this charge and credited my account for this item. I then started searching for another company to order from. I found Cages by design and had used them in the past to buy some rabbit cages, but I found several reports on the net for a very bad experience with this company. I found this cage by Kings cages http://www.kingscages.com/ProductDet...?ProductID=605 and ordered it. I received it in one week from the time of order and it was very well packaged with free shipping. It had a wooden skid on the bottom and skids strapped around both sides to protect it. I was able to assemble it with minimal assistance from my wife in about 5 hours although I wasn't in any hurry. I have it on my front porch and plan to screen in the porch soon so my two Congo African gray parrots can enjoy the outside during good weather. I can vouch that this cage seems very well made and is also fairly stylish. Being stainless steel it shouldn't rust. I ordered the wire roof since this cage is on a roof covered porch.
I recently bought a male blue crown conure for my 16 year old son from birdfarm.com. So we are a 3 bird, two dog house with one outside cat.

Wow, this cage is gorgeous, King's cages are the best, my linnies also have one.

In Europe they are called Montana cages, it's the same producer.

Although this is a high dollar cage, the only other manufacturers of a similar size stainless steel cage I could find on the net cost about double the price of this cage. As a matter of fact the aviary I ordered from Cheek's custom cages only cost about $500 less and it was to be made of wrought iron.

I live in Europe (I'm from England) and we have Montana and Kings cages so I always assumed they were two completely different brands? The Kings are a lot more expensive over here than the Montana too. They look really nice though!

And welcome to the forum The cage/aviary you've got looks really awesome and roomy. The bigger the better I'm sure your flock will love it. Sorry to hear that other companies had messed you around. From what I have heard, cagesbydesign are supposed to be really good? Odd!

Here are some of the complaints from others on the net that made me reluctant to order from cagesbydesign http://cages-by-design.pissedconsumer.com
