3 New Toys for Libby!!

I recently joined Avian Advantage ($10 for a lifetime membership). You sign up for their forum (pretty inactive one) and then can join the "buyer's club" and get access to discounts from participating vendors.

EverythingBirdie was having a 30% off sale on their toys, plus I got 15% off with my Avian Advantage membership. Well, I just HAD to buy something, didn't I???

Here's her new toys:
So far Libby hasn't played with them, but I'm sure eventually she'll get curious!

Those four hanging things at the bottom are rattles.

This tube one has blocks of wood strung in 3 places inside.

This "shredding station" came with a wooden perch, but I didn't need it. I just hung it over one of her
patio platforms.

I LOVE bird toys! Can't you tell?

All 3 of them look real cool. I am sure Libby will eventually find them. I like the shelf you have, and after looking at your cage from your other post I see you have a few of them in your cage. Does Libby like them? Do you use them to hang toys from underneath?

I think I will be joining the Avian Adventure myself.

Bob - Yes, Libby does love those "patio platforms". I got them at my local bird store, but think you can get them on line too. They come in two sizes. I do hang toys from them too so it gives extra hanging spots, especially for lower down in her cage.

My Parrotlet, Angelina has them too, plus I've hung two or three of them on the outside of her cage and there are toys hanging from them also. They play in there, so this gives them extra places to climb on and play.

I think they add extra interesting areas for the birds. They're very handy and hold up well.

That website is "Avian Advantage" -- Here's a link:
http://www.avianadvantagecentral.com/

It's a little hard to learn how to navigate around, but easy once you get the hang of it. If you scroll most of the way down the page above, you'll see "buyer member resources" and a link to "vendor ads, discounts and codes" . You won't be able to look at that page until you join the forum and then become a lifetime member, but that's where you can see the various participating vendors, their discounts and codes for the discounts. I think maybe it changes from month to month, not sure about that yet. I figured for $10 bucks for a lifetime membership, why not give it a try. They have lots of vendors I recognize too.

I just joined Avian Advantage, for $10 lifetime it seems likeit would pay for itself after one order.

How long did it take for you to access the discounts? I keep getting I don't have access

cioci t - She hasn't gone near it yet! LOL! She's always suspicious of new things for a while -- unless it's FOOD! Then she's full steam ahead!!

Bob:

This is on the page where you pay for your membership:

If you also wish to become an AA buyer/member so you can shop & save with all of our vendors please return to this page after registering on our forum and pay below. After your AAN membership payment has been verified your forum registration will be upgraded and you will have full access to Avian Advantage Central. If you don't have full access within 24 hours please contact me via private messaging on the forum board or email me at [email protected] Thank You, Dee

So it must take a bit before you're "approved". You can see who all the different vendors are though. When I posted a message to their forum last week, even the message had to be approved before it was posted!

I'd keep after it and e-mail Dee if you don't get access by tomorrow.

I just joined up, got access within the hour Can't wait to browse the deals, they have my 2 favorite stores on there. Just placed a big order with Kathie (My Safe Bird Store) a few weeks ago, but there's always room for more toys

Great! I got the feeling they're just getting started, so the more new members the better! Kristen at Persnickety Parrots told me about it. They had asked her to be one of their vendors and she thought they offered a pretty good deal for members.

You can join - but I don't think they have any UK vendors, I think they just have US and Canada right now? You'd have to check
