Wood Coloring Pack

Look what I found on Persnickety...this looks so cool! http://www.persnicketyparrot.com/Vit...fe_p_1923.html
And frankly, after looking through that site again, it is by far my favorite. If I need supplies, I'm ordering from there.

Doubt it, Daisy! I can't stand when the coloring comes off of my wood toys and supplies when I wash it, so I doubt it will stay in your hair, LOL.

So I guess this pack would be handy, huh?
As I soak most of my supplies, I always try NOT to soak the colored wood ones, just wipe them down with a wet paper towel.

I seen that too. was thinking about getting it, i have a handy hubby to cut out wood shapes for us. Has anyone tried to dye wood with food dye? I used it for popsicle sticks. It worked but the colors weren't very vibrant.

I was wondering about food dye myself. I've never tried it, though.

I've used food coloring on balsa wood - it comes out pastel, not super bright. That pack would probably come out much brighter Unfortunately, in order to be non toxic to the birds, I think any coloring on the wood has to be water soluble so it will run off
