Hubby made me a cage cover

Made with magnets for convenient and simple use.

We left a bit of room to the bottom to keep our 35 pound cat from reaching up and trying to climb up it. He's not allowed in the room with the bird, but I figured if my hubby ever forgets to close he door to the room it's a good precaution to take.

Fingers crossed everything goes well. I'm hoping with a little training and time we may be able to move the cage into the living room, but ta all going to depend on how the cats act around it.

Magnets are an excellent idea! I currently use clothes pins (love those things) but have entertained the idea of adding Velcro, just don't like how Velcro gets all dirty. Magnets are brilliant.

Funny thing is, the magnets are vlecroed onto the cover :P so a bit of both! Just wanted to make sure it will let go if the cat manages to grab onto it. I know the magnets won't hold his weight long at least.

That's a really good idea I never thought of that! I used to use large black bed sheets as they are big enough to throw over a whole cage. My birds would wake up with the sun and believe me, it was loud!
