Snuggle Sack Help?

So, I ordered the "Snuggle Snack" with no doubt in my mind that Kiki would use it. However, she hates it. At first she was scared of it. Now she's still nervous about it, but she attacks it, too. I've tried ways of introducing it to her, but she just won't go for it!
I once wrapped up a long sleeved shirt into a bed for her, and she got in the SLEEVE of it to sleep! She used to always hide in things and crawl in things to sleep. Now she won't!
I'm really disapointed. I want her to have this to sleep in and it cost me money. I really want her to have something like a sack or hut or tube or whatever they call those things to sleep in. Any ideas on how I can get her to like the sack? Is there any hope left?

Birds are funny creatures! When I first got Libby, I put a "tent" in her cage -- one of those triangular "pup tent" looking kind, open on the front and back. She took to it immediately -- sleeping, playing and running through it.

Sooooo I bought one for her sleeping cage, but there's one difference: the material on the outside is different and the inside is white fleece instead of lime green. It's the same size. She won't go near it no matter what I do! It's been in her sleeping cage for months now, no way, no how, NO! I've put treats in it, she'll leave them there. I've put HER in it, she just pops out the back. I've traded them and put the newer one in her daytime cage -- she runs from it.

She still loves her old one though. When that one goes to pup tent heaven, I'm in BIG trouble!

So obviously, I can't help with your problem! It seems either they like it or they don't, and when they don't, they REALLY don't!

I don't have a happy hut but I do have the cozy hut. I bought it yesterday while I went away for the weekend. I went to a pet store and they had hardly anything for birds but they did have that and I really wanted to try one. I put it in D's cage like half an hour ago and he hates it so far. I've put it in the corner where his boing was and moved the boing to the other side of the cage in hope that he'll go there to sleep, as he usually stays in that corner at night. I put him in it and he hopped in but soon decided he was gunna run out so I thought, hey, leave him to it. Hopefully he'll like it later on I'd just leave it in the cage and maybe at some point she'll waddle over to it

Maxx has a happy hut in green and LOVES it. He naps in it a few times a day, and climbs in it at 8p to to go to bed for the night.

Abby, I'll be honest, none of my birds have liked the snuggle sack for sleeping either. I think it's because it doesn't give ample room for long tails. They prefer the tent styles. What I have done with my snuggle sacks is to make them foraging toys. I hide all kinds of shreddables and foot toys, and occasional nuts in there. They love to peek inside and find goodies!

Doug had a tube at the store. He slept in it all the time. When we brought him home, they didn't have any other tubes there for sale, so they gave us the tube, because he loved it soooooooooooo much.

Sooooooo, here, he won't sleep in it. He does climb on top of it, but he won't go inside it.

Personally, I think they get a big kick out of bugging us.

Doug has also turned into a grandma's boy. He hardly tolerates Cannary. He will deign to get on her hand from inside his cage just long enough to ride out here close enough to fly to me. Poor Cannary. She "raised" him. She didn't hand feed him, but she picked him out when he was only 3 weeks old and visited him in the store almost every single day until he weaned and has taken care of him here, too. She played with him every day, although now she just acts as his taxi service to me.

Thanks Shivani for the awesome siggy!

I put it near her boing and now she is crawling all over it and investigating it constantly. I came home from work late tonight and when I turned on the light, I saw she was behind it (against the cage), sleeping. So at least she's taking advantage of it somehow. I hope to eventually see her in it. Progress! At least she isn't attacking it anymore, hehe....

It took mine awhile to not think they were big scary monsters and now they will go in them. I have the tent style ones though.

I told you my Dexter would soon like it! He loves his now and I can never get him out of it! He crawls into it every single night and really does snuggle into the sides it's ever so cute to see, and in the morning when I peak over the quilt I can see him poking his head out of the tent just staring at me but he's reaaaally poofy haha!

I don't have one of the tent or tube ones, because I'm a worry wort. But I do have one of the triangular corner fuzzies that just hang in the corner of the cages against the bars, and mine love it. Every once in awhile I'll catch my tiel preening it :P

Cricket has two happy huts, just like bob, the small green one. He loves them. One in his big cage for napping and one in his little cage for sleeping. I think he likes it because his tail can hang out the back and it isn't getting bunched up. Plus since there are holes on either end, as some conures do, he backs up for pooping so he always misses his hut and it never gets dirty. But does wash up great!
