Successss!!! Wooo! :d

SO guess who is now playing with a toy!?

Pineapple's always squawking when she wants attention, and I hadn't seen her yet playing with any toys (I don't think she ever had to entertain herself at her previous home- she just screamed for attention). I got her an awesome new toy (it's wooden pieces laced together with strips of leather), but she ignored it. Well, I just spent 10+ minutes making a total fool of myself, playing with this toy and pretending that it's the MOST FUN THING EVER! And she started getting interested, and when I put it down...she started PLAYING with it! And chewing it! YAY!!! Success

I had to show Bob how to play.
I was going to suggest toys.
She's having teenage tantrums, or 2 yr old tantrums.
I'd suggest new method of amusing her everyday.
Foraging toys, new foods.
she'll chill out eventually,
in the meantime congratulations for winning this round.
Screaming birds are NOT FUN!

Haha thanks! D I just tried putting some seeds (a tbsp maybe?) into a bowl of paper shreds. She seemed to enjoy it, and it kept her occupied for a few minutes Overall, Pineapple has been MUCH better behaved today. Still some screaming, but not neaaaarly as bad. She was super loud this morning, but calmed down after I took her in the shower with me. She also came down her playstand for a cuddle while I was at my desk tonight! YAY!

That's wonderful! Their curiousity usually overcomes them and they just HAVE to see what the big deal is!

PROGRESS! Great!

Hopefully when she sees how much attention you will be giving her Pineapple will stop screaming as much because she will be happier than the last home.
