Talking Two More New Cages on the Way for Angelina & Libby!!

Don't laugh, but I just ordered two of the cage pictured below to replace my beloved HQ cages!!!!! The HQ cage is still the best cage for the money, BUT since I've had that huge door on Harley's cage (the A&E Conure Castle), I've been getting tired of the two small doors on the HQ cages, so......

I wanted this cage for a while and Bird's Comfort had them at the cheapest price (same place I got Harley's cage). Plus they sent me an e-mail for 6% off. This is a "Marvelous" brand cage, powder coated, no zinc or lead in the paint.

My cages will be black where this one is green, and gray where this one is tan.

After they get set up, I'm going to clean up the two HQ's and put them on Craig's list, just like I did the last two cages I sold. With Christmas coming, they should sell easily (I hope).

I think it's a nice looking cage, and it has that BIG door in front! It's a little larger than the HQ cage and the bars are thicker, and it weighs 16 pounds more. What do you think?

So more of my mad money has been spent! Anything for my babies!

They're great cages!

I think Harley is in the conure castle right? It's HUGE!

Shivani -

Harley (my Hahn's Macaw) has an A&E Conure Castle, which I love! It's BIG and weighs 113 pounds! Here's a pic:

It was Libby's (GCC) cage first, but when I got Harley, I put him in it and moved Libby to an HQ flight cage in Angelina's (my Parrotlet) room. Angelina is also in an HQ flight cage. Here's the HQ's:

These are the two cages I'm replacing with the Marvelous cages I just ordered. It's musical cages around here!

Joanne, did you check the price of the Marvelous cages at Petco? I was going to get that cage before I got my Conure Castle, and they always had the best price for the cage.

$215.99 with free shipping.

http://www.petco.com/product/112992/...oductname_link

Kristin from Persnickety Parrot has this cage also and recommended it when I was looking for a new cage.

Bob - Yes, I checked Petco, but they charge tax, about $20 on each cage, and don't ship for 2-3 weeks. At Birds Comfort, they are $199, minus 6% for a sale, which made them $187.06 each. They do charge for shipping, but still come out cheaper than Petco, plus they are shipping my cages on Monday.

I'm a big Internet searcher, and looked everywhere before I placed my order! With the shipping at Birds Comfort, the cages come out close to the same price as Petco, but Birds Comfort ships faster, so that tipped the scale!

Shivani -

NO my birds DO NOT get along! The Parrotlet especially will not let ANY bird near her -- I'm lucky she likes ME!

They have playtime together in the bird room, but they are on opposite sides of the room to keep peace in the family!

I figured you did, but it never hurts to check. Those cages look great, I am sure Angelina and Libby are going to love them. I LOVE the big for on the CC, and would never go back to a small one.
If I hadn't found the CC on Craigslist, I was going to order that cage.

Thanks, Judi!

Bob - I love my Conure Castle too! That BIG door is wonderful! That's what got me started wanting a big door on Libby and Angelina's cages.

I have to be sure to SELL my HQ cages PRONTO -- don't want to be tempted to fill them up!
