As The GAG Turns

Star Actress: Geraldine
Props: Get a Grip Net, Baskets, Toys, PVC ceiling guards

We have had our GAG net for years with much use and enjoyment, and consider it one of our best birdie investments. We've always hung it horizontally to resemble tree canopy and the birds have climbed, roosted, preened, bathed, and foraged on it. Geraldine, however, has other plans. Lol. She has made it her new mission in life to shred any type of fiber near the hanging area of the GAG and all other toys. She semi killed the lovely bunch of coconuts, but have no fear. The coconuts are reappearing in different ways throughout the house. Lol. And the GAG net refuses to die, and was rehung yesterday by it's corner knots.

Will Geraldine continue this mass destruction with her red weapon? Will she employ recruits to help with this mission?
Stay tuned for future episodes of "As the GAG Turns."

Geraldine must be a soap opera star, this can't be REAL life, that sweet looking birdie just couldn't be doing any of those things! It must be in the script!

I really want one of those nets. Unfortunately I can't afford one!
And Kristen what a cute idea! I love it!

Abby - You could alway make one, I made the one hanging over Libby's cage for a couple of bucks. Instead of making knots at the intersections of the rope, I used heavy-duty zip ties and they worked great. I also added little toys at various intersections. It's been a hit since day one!

Agreed! Make one out if bird safe sisal! Your birds will love it!

Geraldine shredded a toy in her cage this a.m. And made it into a little nest. She's in love with Elf and very hormonal. Shredding=nastiness to her right now.

Jo Anne, Geraldine makes this "whoa is me" sound that I think she mimicked from t.v. She is so funny!

How cute is that! How are you handling Geraldine wanting to be a mommy?

I let her shred to her hearts content, and she stays busy all day playing out of her cage with toys and ELF. I purchased fake eggs for her in case she lays eggs one day. I will just replace them.
