new cage

so I am looing to get my african grey Dreyfuss a bigger cage. I came across a cage online that is used as a ferret cage, but the levels are detachable. with shipping it would be around $400. No free shipping to canada. do you guys think its worth it ??

thanks guys

It looks like there is no grate on the bottom to keep the bird from getting to everything on the bottom. I think that there are better choices out there.

I agree with Sally. You can get a much heavier-duty (which an African Gray needs) cage for the same amount of money. Grates are hard to clean, but they are a must in my house!

Keep looking, you'll find just the right one!

He may need a better thickness of bars, greys are pretty strong he could easily break the bars I think

Looks nice but the bar look to skinny for a grey and id perfer no grate as this year alone ive had two birds get their wings stuck in it and died.

I'd say don't get that one because the wires and there's no pull out tray. Life would be hard without a pull out tray.

I like the cages on mybirdcage.com and birdscomfort.com. Used cages can also work; my Grey's cage I bought used for $150 and it's been perfect.

I love the shape of the first one, very different! My favourite is the last though. Lottsa space for toys!

i got a cage yesterday its pretty big its 36in L x 25in W x 62in H dreyfuss loves it.I got it off kijiji for under $200. His new cage looks empty now because there is so much room. I moved my Speilberg into Dreyfuss old cage. so they both got a hefty upgrade. I will post pics of it tonight or tomorrow .thank you all soo very much for your input!!!
