Question Need help finding Zazzy the Quaker a bigger cage

When Zazzy was given to me I also was given her current cage. I found it online and the interior dimensions are 22"Wx17"Dx36"H. I found a craigslist ad for a Cal cage that is 40"Wx30"Dx45"H for $200. The only problem is that it would be a 5 hour round trip to go get it.

Does anyone know of a good website or online store that has good prices on the larger size bird cages? I didn't realize that Zazzy's cage dimensions were so small until I saw it online today. I would love to get her a new and bigger cage for her Christmas present.

Thanks for any tips or online links anyone knows of.

My Quacker used to live in a dome top cage actually bigger than the one he is in now but he never liked the top or the size because he will spend the whole day in two places only and as soon as we got back home we let him out to the top and he wouldn't move much I've got one of those perches you can screw on top of dome cages and we really think he hated.
I order an A&E 18 X18 X 60 with a play top and the guy loves it he is all over the top and hangs upside down while he is in the cages and jumps from toys to perches non stopping and we never saw him doing this in the bigger cage.
I will up load a picture of it later to see if you like it; it was a little bit less than 200 delivered to my door and I even got a free toy.
Cheers,
Luis

How much do you want to spend? That would help us with suggestions.

I love my two Marvelous cages for Libby and Angelina. The A&E Conure Castle that I have for Charley, my Hahns Macaw is great too, but would be too big for your bird. The Marvelous cages I have are decorative and super easy to clean!

Make sure you get the biggest door you can find for the money -- will make it so much easier to clean.

Here's one website that sells it:
http://www.birdscomfort.com/marvelous_bird_cage.html
No free shipping though, but no tax either.

Here's another, Petco, and they have free shipping, but you have to pay tax.

The ones I have are black and gray and they look awesome!

Let us know what you decide and if you haven't decided, please give us a price range for more suggestions.

Thank you for all the links and suggestions on cages.

I just texted the person with the craigslist cage and said they would take $125 for their cage. I think with my husband that would make it worth driving to get it versus the original price they listed of $200 plus us driving to go get it.

The only thing wrong with their cage is they took the castor wheels off as two broke when they moved it last but put rubber tips where they were. My husband is pretty handy so I think he could find some to replace it no problem.

My husband said he doesn't mind driving down there with me to pick the cage up. He's been bugging me about what to get me for Christmas so this will be it and Zazzy gets almost double the cage size she has now.

My parents will let us drive their truck tomorrow to pick it up since their truck is more comfy riding than my husband's little truck.

That's great I'm glad you've found a good cage. And I'm sure Zazzy will love it

We made it home after a long day of driving in the rain. I cleaned the cage and put what perches that are the right size for her new cage in it. I've got to go online and find some more things that are the Macaw cage size to fit in her cage with the bigger bar spacings.

I pretty much picked her up and put her in the new cage to explore it. She's fussing a little bit at me but I'm not letting her see me or she'll want to come out to visit. Mean old mama.
