Smile Does your bird enjoy swinging?

I was wondering if your parrot or parakeet enjoys time on his/her birdie swing? Sweetheart loves her swing -- she swings along to the rhythm of music she enjoys. And often hangs upside down at the top of the swing, checking out how the swing works. When she does this, J. and I call it her "engineering work."

It's nice to know Sweetheart loves her swing and enjoys it during the day, your girl knows how to relax and enjoy the life.

Banana loves her swing too ... at night. When the lights are out and I put the cover on her cage she is always standing on her primary top of the cage perch. As soon as I say good night to her I can hear her start to shuffle around in the darkness under her cover where she will sneak over to her swing and drag herself up and she sits there for the rest of the night to sleep.

I tried putting her on her swing before I cover the cage and close the door but she jumps down to the perch and waits for me to say goodnight and cover her up. She doesn't want any help up on her swing. She wants to go up there herself on her own terms HER WAY!

Damn budgie is pushy and stubborn so bloody damn stubborn!

Sweetheart can get the same way, when it comes to demonstrating what she wants to do, in HER TERMS. Today she was dragging her water container up and down, to show off her beak strength, I think -- but J. kept repeating, "Don't do that, Sweetheart! You'll spill water all over the place." Eventually she quit -- but not on J.'s account. xD

Oh, and she also likes to bring her little plastic container holding her chopped, cooked chicken egg -- bumping it along -- to the bottom of her ladder, so she can hang upside down on her ladder while she enjoys feasting on her egg. Fancy dining, indeed! 💙
