Master Plan!

Since this is technically about switching around my cages I thought I'd put it here!
This is my master plan, don't tell my Fiance because he's not in on it.

Plan #1:
Order a new flight cage (probably an HQ) for Hermes and then the new cage would have room so that I could get Hermes a friend and they could live together. Hermes' old cage could act as the quarantine cage while the new 'Tiel was in quarantine until the new 'Tiel could move in with Hermes. After Hermes and New 'Tiel were living together I would move the Budgies into Hermes' old cage and keep the Budgie's old cage as a weaning cage for when they have babies.

Plan #2:
Order a new flight cage (probably an HQ or similar), keep Hermes and the Budgies in their current cages, and get one of my dream birds to live in the flight (such as a Caique, IRN, Conure, Mustache Parakeet, or something).

What plan do you guys like? Or what plan would you do? Both plans involve me getting a new cage and a new bird.

Thanks for the help!

tough choice on the one hand Hermes gets a friend, on the other hand you get a dream bird

I think only you can really decide whats best for you, but if it was me I would go with

Plan #2

Thanks! It's definitely a hard choice. I would love to get a friend for Hermes but at the same time I'd also love to get a bird I've never had before. I think I might start out with an IRN and hope that it gets along with Hermes.
I would love another 'Tiel but I don't know, gah!

I don't know what it is about IRN's, I'm just drawn to them. They are gorgeous birds and what I've read of them and seen videos of them they seem lovely!
They had a ton of IRN's at the bird store the other day and because of that they are 40% off right now and I REALLY wish I could get one. If I had a cage I would totally go and do the financing though if the store does it.

We should ALL get IRN's and make an IRN group and overcome the GCC owners, LOL.

i find mixing species with more aggression or more bigger beaks ends with trouble. in the future, im sticking to one species! its a lot of trouble, and all i have is two species, i dont know how you all do it

So far I haven't had any problems yet (knock on wood). Our birds all seem to get along and some of the larger birds we don't let interact with some of the others.

My IRNs HATE my tiels Az more Athena They can't be out together at all. But he is terrified of our lovie,gc,and senegal. So be careful when mixing the two species. Alot of my othe birds do get along though. I think it depends on the bird too.
