Cage Set Up for Handicapped

I bought the Vision cage for my handicapped baby Sun Conure mainly because there is nothing around the bottom to scratch or hurt it and also because of the feeders being on floor level. It is only a month old and I'm still hand feeding it formula but it is out growing the box it is in.
So I need advice as to what to put in there and how to set it up. I only put a rope perch in so I can bend it to where it can learn to stand on it. I was thinking that later there will be at least one ladder and then I can raise the perches. I did add a little cockatiel size happy hut. I'm ready to put it in there for daytime and still let it sleep in the box for a while until it gets fully feathered which looks like it will only be a few more days now.
Do I need to take the bottom rack out and only put paper, pine shavings or what? Any advice is appreciated.

Edit: I forgot to say that it's handicap is that it only has one wing and the lower part of it's beak is missing.

At that age, I would have a towel along the bottom of the cage and keep all perches low to the ground, so if she/he does take a tumble, it doesn't cause any damage. He also needs to get a little more coordinated before he stands on the grate along the bottom, his feet are still tender. He's not quite at an age where he's really going to perch much yet either, so I wouldn't worry too much about perches. He will play with toys though! Make sure they are safe toys, since he's just a baby, maybe some foot toys, etc. The cage is a good choice for him!

great cage choice for him I agree with Jenny as lower pearches and also maybe instead of woodchips/shavings a fleece blanket or two

Thanks to both of you for quick replies. I think you are both correct. It is still too young to not keep warm and comfy so I guess I'll be doing baby conure laundry for awhile I have old towels that will be put to good use.

Thank you. I love being it's mommy.

I removed the rope for now, put down newspaper over the bottom rack and added some towels, moved the happy hut to the back so it can go all way through it. I put baby in there for awhile a couple of times today so it would get used to being there and I think it loves the soft happy hut. It went in it a couple of times and mostly just hung out snuggled against it.
