Cage for green cheek or maroon bellied conure

I have two budgies currently in an HQ flight cage.

Would either a green cheek conure or a maroon bellied conure also work in an HQ flight cage? 1/2" bar spacing ok?

Its just a cage I'm familiar with, although I may bite the bullet and buy locally instead of online since I don't know how long either bird will be available.

I am leaning towards the maroon belly, based on the comments that GCC can be nippy.

Yes, a second HQ just for the conure. Would the conure be ok for a week in a 14x14x18 while the cage ships? Thats my current quarantine cage.

if thats all you have, its ok as a temporary cage, so long as you take him/her out for several hours

I used a 14x20 budgie cage as a qt cage for my green cheek while my HQ shipped I say it should be fine.

Sounds like I'm pretty much set then, and yeah I'll be sure to give him/her some extra out of the cage time in the quarantine room.

My wife doesn't want another bird, but she's basically making me agree to try and become real parents, so this is kind of her compromise.

It will be fine for a conure no problem my two have an Amazon cage but they can't get through the bars or anything, HOWEVER, it has this one bar on the cage that is slightly higher than any of the others with a much larger gap and Dexter can get out and back in through it, Pickles doesn't have a clue though

Hahaha "Pickles doesn't have a clue though" You'd think he'd see Dexter and get the idea!

I know it's funny cause I definitely think Pickles is smarter, but Dexter manages to get out and in whenever he wants. He never leave the cage. Usually runs to the bottom, goes under the grate and eats all the seeds and pellets he has dropped

HQ flight cage ordered! Toy/perch order also placed. This sure isn't a big bird town, but at least I have a credit card and a neighborhood where deliveries don't disappear from the front porch.
