Question Where should I keep the new bird?

So I have been in contact with the same breeders that I bought Belle from for a while now.. I saw them at the bird mart a while ago and decided to wait on one of the babies they were raising at the time! (I was hoping they would let me adopt the albino baby but that doesn't look promising, I wouldn't give it up either! ) Anyway.. I was supposed to go pick out a another cockatiel last week but they called me and asked if I could wait because they had something else come up.. So I am going to look at them this coming Sunday!

I know I have to keep the new bird in quarantine and I currently have 2 empty cages I could put him/her in. The first is the black cage I bought the same day I bought Belle (pictures attached) and the second is a cage I repainted 1 month ago. The white cage is obviously bigger but I'm worried that maybe 1 month isn't enough time for it to completely dry? What do you guys think?
The picture of the white cage is BEFORE I repainted it with bird/baby safe paint, by the way.

I was going to ask that question as well! Since I'm getting the new bird from the same place I figured I would just keep it in a separate cage for a few days instead of a month like usual. Not sure if that's a bad idea or not?

I can't do quarantine per say at my house, so I do things a little differently. Like just automatically treating for common problems when I buy them. Since your getting one from the same breeder I wouldn't worry too much, it should be fine.

That's so good to know! I was getting a little worried about it because the only other room I could put the quarantine cage in is right next to the room Belle is in... So even if the new bird has some sort of health issue, I wouldn't be preventing much! These people take such great care of their birds so I know it will be nice and healthy!

Yay I cant wait to see your new tiel!!! If the breeder hasnt added any new birds to his/her flock and the current birds seem healthy, hopefully it should be okay, you are still taking a bit of a risk though.

I can't wait to see my new tiel either! I still plan on keeping it in the other room for a few days so I can keep an eye on it but no more than a week if it seems healthy, I guess. I'll be sure to post lots of pictures!

Can't wait to see the new 'Tiel, do you know if you're getting a boy or a girl or is it still too young?
That must be so exciting!
I would still do the full quarantine if it was me because you don't know if the breeder could have somehow brought something into their flock since you got Belle.

I won't know the gender until I figure it out myself or have it tested. I think they will be honest with me if I ask them directly if they brought a new bird into their flock

Well they have an albino (lutino whiteface?) baby that I really really really want but I don't think they will give it up because they want to use it as a breeder I think it deserves a better life! I'm going to offer them a good price for it and maybe they'll give it up! I played with it when it was just a tiny little thing, it was soooo sweet! If I can't get that one I'll just spend some time with the others and pick on personality There are 3 regular lutino babies as well.. So I'll be more than happy to have one of those gorgeous babies as well!

I definitely will! I'll also share pictures of their flock! They breed amazons, IRNs, cockatoos, conures, cockatiels, budgies, lovebirds, and finches!
