Feather duster?

Do you guys think a feather duster would be safe for a bird?

Since ice likes to preen so much, I was thinking if I found a natural feather duster, or even a normal one that I thurally washed.. Would it be ok?

What do you think?

I use ostrich feather dusters to dust my bird cages with... my parrotlet attacks it and chases it around his cage... my green cheek preens it...lol... it hasnt hurt either of my bird yet and i am on my 3rd one.

Just make sure there is nothing on the feathers, I know its a little bit OTT and I am not trying to scare you, but I once got some real feathers which had feather mites!!! However it is a brilliant idea

Also make sure that if you give the whole thing that the handle is not painted... And that the feathers are secure.

Why don't you collect their feathers as they moult them and make one?
