Charlie doesn't like toys...

So my Galah, Charlie, has only ever seemed to have one toy... which I've never seen him use, let alone even acknowledged...
I've tried giving him new toys that he can chew on (He chews his perches -.- ) but he's just scared of them whenever they come near the cage, same goes with the rope perch I bought for him...

I'm thinking maybe if I just buy a smaller toy and slowly introduce it to him and show him it's nothing to be scared of?
Same with the rope perch, he's usually a bit scared of new perches I put in his cage, even if it's one that's already in there that I'm moving, but is fine once they stop moving.

Hang them on the outside so he can get used to them. Not near food or drink though.
My IRN Id terrified of any new toy for a few days.
Just let him her used to them.

It's already been said but I good way to introduce new things, hang it on the outside of the cage. Charlie will think he's safe from it and will go explore it from inside his cage. You can also put them somewhere outside the cage where he likes to go when he's free.

Remember the cage is "home" to Charlie, birds can be very picky about what is in their "home"

Have you tried playing with it? When I introduce a new toy to my GCC, and she does not play with it, it only takes a few moments of me playing with said toy before she scurries over and takes it away to try herself.

I agree with everyone else!

Play with the toys while he is watching. Toss them around rip little pieces off it if it is shredable.. Make sure to make happy sounding noises as well.. Try laughing!

You will look ridiculous but soon he will want to play with what you are playing with.. Maybe not the first few times.. But he will catch on!!
