wishing for spring

It's bitter out.
My poor tiels in the aviary look ok apart from my old girl.
She's sleeping on the lowest perch to escape the wind. Her son keeps snuggling up to her,
It's so cute.
She could go indoors but none of them will sleep in there unless its 8 below!
well Hopefully spring will be here soon.
Can't be soon enough for a 19 year old cockatiel!
Or me for that matter!

I hate the weather at the moment. I really do. My birds look so miserable and they can go indoors too haha. The budgies seem to make the most of it but the 4 tiels out there just sit with their grumpy faces on

Yeesh I can't believe there are places out there that you can leave your birds out year round! If I had my birds out right now they would freeze to death in a matter of seconds! It's minus 20 out there!!

Complaining aside Spring is just around the corner and things will warm up soon!

I have never been to North America.
Maybe i should add it to my.bucket list.
Hubby been to Seattle and San Franscico for work.
I wanna go Florida, Vegas and Canada.
Generally hot places.
I don't like cold unless it snows.
For my new aviators I had to research birds that could survive our winter outside.
Spring is coming.
The daffodils are out!

Oh, how I wish for spring!! It is awfully cold in Ohio. It's been raining and snowing
off and on, and the weather is just plain gloomy and depressing. I don't like the
extreme heat or extreme cold. I like spring and fall. I can't stand being super hot on
a summer day, and mom insists on opening the windows and turning off the AC. Ew!

When it comes to Florida, my family LOVES Florida. When we vacation every few
years, that's where we go. It's okay. We usually go to Siesta Key, and the beaches
are pretty but I only like going to beaches when the sun is setting. I hate it during a
hot and sunny day. Like, honestly, it's super busy, the sand burns, it's hot and
sweaty, the sand gets everywhere. It's just kind of gross in my opinion. When the
sun is setting, and it's cool and not so busy, it's lovely.

I think I'd prefer North or South Carolina. I haven't been to many states so I couldn't
say for sure that's where I'd like to live/go if I had a choice, but I've been to North
and South Carolina and it's been really nice when I have gone.

I live in Charleston, South Carolina, and I have to say, the climate is perfect for me. It does get humid and hot in summer but I love it nevertheless. Winters are fairly mild, it can get chilli at times, but nothing like snow and sleet, yuck.
I love everything about the South, I love the trees, the ocean, friendly people and great food
Though, I have to say, I don't think I would leave my two cockatiels on our balcony in January or February here. Too cold for their little bodies. I have some neighbors, they have two budgies and they frequently leave the cage on the balcony. Somtimes I see them covered with a blanket and I hear chirping, but the poor birds cannot be comfortable in the chilli air.

Hubby's boss lives in Conneticut and after the big storm he sent us some funny photo.
1stly the imprint of his front door in 3 feet of snow.
Secondly his snow blower dug down in the snow.
And also some pics of buried cars on the freeway.
Amazing. We have 2 inches of snow and our world stops!
Forecasts are predicting a strong easterly in 10 ish days time with south UK worse hit.
Winds straight from Russia.
Looks like spring will have to wait.
Ho hum!
