Munch is back in the old cage

well, she's been hormonal. thats an understatement.
but to try to throw her out of her cycle, we switched her cage back to the original one, and made a new grate out of 1/2" plastic hardware cloth.

it's easier to cover to give her the long nights treatment.
easier to clean
more portable
easier to feed and water her.

in the end, i think she will be staying in this cage instead of the attached double unit.

it sucks she cant have her big cage, but i just cant cover it to complete darkness.

on one hand, the other had more space and more fun. she loved to run all over the floor of it. thats all she ever did all day.

on the other, she needs the long nights treatment to stop the hormones. i'm quite done with eggs this year i want her to read that memo lol

to make it up to her, i am creating a play area beside her cage

I like it Casey! Keep up the good work! We're all slaves to our birds and I think you're doing an excellent job - very good slave you are

I'm sure Devin's doing a good job at that already, lol haha, there is no need for Munch to do so.

we figured it would be a humourous toy for her lol she beats it up and tosses it around. she loves those kinds of toys lol

and the white things arent eggs, they're "eyeball" ping pong balls. okay, maybe we might have a morbid sense of humour, but halloween has some great bird toys and munch loves them lol

she laid 3 eggs over the weekend. but she has stopped and has no interest. the long nights are working in this cage
