A few months back, Eddy went to work one day and found an injured cat in the parking lot of his work. The cat was very dirty and skinny and looking like he had been run over by a car or attacked by something; his tail was opened and there were maggots crawling in and out. Eddy wanted to help but didn't know what to do, and besides, he had to work. The cat apparently had kept following Eddy around, trying to rub up against Eddy and constantly meowing. Eddy left food and water out for the cat and continued to work but finally was too distressed by the thought of the cat to continue any longer. After calling several animal shelters and places and receiving no help, he felt he had to take this cat to the vet. It was late but the vet was very kind and came in for emergency surgery to remove the cat's tail. $400+ later, the cat was alright and Eddy was given medicine and sent on his way, with this new (very loving) cat. The vet had said that if Eddy hadn't taken the cat in when he did, the cat would have died. Eddy loves cats, is a total cat person, but had just moved into a new house (one he is renting) and was not supposed to have any animals. He took the cat home anyway, and cared for him, gave him his medicine, fed him, loved on him. Then he came home one day to find the cat had thrown up worms. Although Eddy really didn't have any money to be doing so, he took his cat to the vet and got the proper medicine. To make things worse, Eddy ended up having the worms as well, and was forced to spend a great deal of money to make himself better. Now, both Eddy and the cat are better, living together in his house. I am constantly over and playing with this cat. He is the cutest, most unique looking cat I've ever seen. He also has a very unique personality! Now he's the most spoiled cat, getting chubbier every day. This cat was very, very lucky. To this day I'm in awe of Eddy. He's such a hero. I just thought I'd share this happy story with you all, as it warms my heart.
