Hershel update [pics]

I don't know if anybody remembers the bearded dragon who I bought back from my first reptile expo, but well, here he is

Mr Grumpy Face

I'm so in love with him, but he hasn't half taken me on a ride. I bought every single bug of a suitable size for him to eat and not once would he take anything. Only thing I hadn't tried for some stupid reason was brown crickets. His weight decreased from 43 to 32g and it was beginning to look like a vet trip was needed. Well, I thought hey I'll try the crickets. What does he stuff up with? Brown crickets. He LOVES them! He went from 32g and now about 2-3 weeks down the line he has hit 60g! He's eating all of his greens, veggies and fruits He's also grown nearly 2 and a half inches

He's lovely! He sure has a belly on him now, ha. You sure can tell that he's a good eater! Even if it DID take a while for you to figure out that he was just super picky.

I hope folks who watch The Walking Dead (or have read the comics) know who he is He's missing half of his limbs so I thought the name fit perfectly

You shoulda seen how he was looking while he wasn't eating. I kept taking photos of it because I was horrified. If he hadn't of eaten the crickets I'd of had him at the vets being force fed But yes he's becoming quite the fatty now Only problem is he's now started with the whole black beard thing

I love The Walking Dead! I haven't seen the newest season though
And that would be scary! I hate it when any of my animals stop eating. Gaia went on a food strike last year for about 5 or 6 months where she would only eat about 1 worm a week or less but she only lost about 6 grams over that whole time period. I believe it was because it was her first breeding season even though she never got bred.

Wow that is a long time! Thank goodness most reptiles are okay with it though. When I said to my mom that I lost Paprika she was like "she hasn't eaten for a week!? She'll be dead!!!"
