Pet Update!

I haven't posted in a while, so I'm gonna go ahead and update y'all on my pets!

Lily is doing good. I think she's finally realizing that she's getting older. She's a lot mellower than she was a few months ago.

Bucky just turned 8 months, and we think he's pushing 80 lbs! He is so hyper, it's not funny. My family has jokingly started calling him Baby Huey, among his many nicknames.

With the birds, Gilbert's first birthday just passed, and Elsa's second birthday is coming up soon!

Great to hear you and the critters are doing well.

I told you way back when that Bucky was going to be a MOOSE.

We figured he would turn out to be. My mom's boyfriend has never had a big dog before, so his reaction to how big and destructive Bucky can be without meaning to makes me laugh.

Good to hear about your pets.

I could never deal with a big dog. I had/have a 30# dog, then I got a 15# dog and I'm considering an even smaller dog when these dogs die.

All dogs will pee/poop/puke in the house/yard/car floor at some point.......a few paper towels vs. a few ROLLS of paper towels is my deciding factor

Bucky isn't too bad. But sometimes he has an off day and likes to throw his weight around and makes me wonder why we didn't get a small dog. If he is around 80 lbs, he is officially over twice the size of Lily, as she is 38 lbs.

My mom sort of wants me to take Bucky with when I move out, but there's no way that will happen. His sheer size, plus his destructiveness, plus the amount of noise he can make equals not an apartment dog.

Maybe you can find an apartment in a house with access to a yard. You will pay more for that type of want/need but it is an option.

The people next door to me rented the lower floor of a house that had a yard so they adopted a huge dog from a shelter.

I don't know how they managed it but the dog never barked or disturbed any of the neighbors around me when they lived here. They really got lucky when they adopted that moose of a dog as it was so well behaved!
