Rainy days [pics]

Chalkie's aviary is two thirds covered but evidently he much prefers to make use of the gloomy English weather

Bandit's aviary is entirely covered but he decided to hang off the mesh instead

Beautiful pictures Daisy. At least Bandit was able to get wet hanging on the wire. I can only stand and laugh at my Cockatoo's who are completely under an awning and when it rains they hang of the bars of their cages trying to get wet.

Thanks guys!

My cockatiels have always done that Kate, it's great to watch! They're so desperate for it haha

Yeah it is funny to watch especially when it is a Sulphur Crested Cockatoo, wings out twisting in every direction trying to catch a few drops.

When I move I am setting up a misting system on the aviaries and the awning area where my pet birds will live so on hot days they will be able to access some water and have a bit of a bath. Saves me going out with a pressure spray bottle to give them a misting.

I just hose my guys down on the finer mist setting otherwise I'd be there all day haha. That said, it's nowhere near as hot here as it would be where you are! We were lucky the other day to have over 10 degrees hahaha!
