Talking My hawk flying free [pics]

After years of waiting for my hawk to recover from two injuries and various other factors I have finally been able to enjoy this year with my favourite boy. I started working with him around the time Bandit went missing (which made me more sad as I was going to start working him again too) up until he moulted and then during the moult I left him be. Now his moult is over I have been flying him from the end of September and we went free the first week of October. He's had this week off as it's been busy with loads of travelling around for my birthday. I've had Jack taking some photos for me as well as his friend who came to have a go too

These are the ones from Jack

And here are the photos Jack's friend took

I asked his friend if he wanted to have a go himself and he said yeah but can you take some photos from the front of him coming from behind so they look cool I must say they did turn out epic

Thank you! What I usually do is climb up the hill of the first field, take his equipment off and check the area for dogs while he's still wearing his hood. When the coast is clear I let him choose where he wants to go which is usually a tree. I call him to the fist for a tidbit and see how quick his response is. If it's good I can just keep walking and he will follow me through the trees like a dog. He can never be far from you! Not once has he even attempted to make a break for it and he always has an eye on you. The only time he doesn't come down is if a dog is passing by, then he goes higher into the trees and waits for them to pass He's a good boy and certainly not bad for an older bird too!
