My effort

Travelling through an area called 'SOUTH ARM' SE Tasmania, In my truck & spotted a silver figure in the grass.. Pulled the rig up & reversed back [ I knew what it was] Young Galah [5 months] not much pink in the colouring. I put my thick welding gloves & walked across .. 'What happened to you'' I said, But knew a car had clipped it.. Picked it up & went to a nearby house , to aquire a cardboard box.. Poor leg movement , but very lively , I thought , Its got a chance!.. I drove 40 miles back , to the local vet & left it with them , later going back to collect it as I am a local bird 'Identity' if there is such a thing, I took it home for rehab..Ate-Drank , but no left limb movement.. Sadly the little dude died, probably at dawn the next morning , when it heard the other birds, then realised it couldn't do what it was supposed to!... I tried

I'm so sorry, Anthony!
It was so kind of you that you tried to help the little galah, but it wasn't meant to live longer.
Fly free, little one!

At least you gave it a fighting chance Anthony. You could do no more. Wish I would have had that option with the one I saw round the corner from my place yesterday, it didn't make it at all from the scene of the accident.

I'm so sorry you lost him. At least you can take comfort that he was loved and cared for at his last hours.
