Hi from UK

Greetings...
I'm a finch breeder from the UK...got myself some Bourkes for the first time so joined you on here for some advice fron experienced breeders.

Welcome to the forum. I know nothing about breeding bourkes, but I do know they are wonderful.

Oh wow - beautiful! Those star sparrows are gorgeous, haven't seen them before! I love the third photo of your Gouldians - they look so inquisitive!

I am impressed with your aviary. We have a couple male zebras and we love them. They keep us entertained with their peeping! I also have a female Bourke named Rosey. shes such a nurse bird, always worried about the tiels and budgies. I am looking forward to hearing about your Bourke's!

My problem was the Bourkes had nested in a finch box so you can imagine how cramped they were.
The problem is solved as she abandoned the eggs which were all dead in shell...I have now given them a bigger box so hopefully they will raise young next time.
I was curious as to how they would react to moving their chicks to a bigger box having not bred them before...As I've said problem now solved.

The aviary is in two halves...half open ...half insulated for winter.It has a small fountain.
