Dave and Tito say hello

Hi Everyone

Just saying hello!

I'm here as a bird lover in general but I'm also looking for advice. I have a wonderful, very smart cockatiel who needs a friend. I'd love to get a parrot but need advice on which species can interact peacefully with cockatiels, please know I don't intend to house them together unless there is a species this can be done successfully with!

Besides that I'm here to chat about birds in general

Welcome. I don't have a cockatiel, but many on here do. I'm sure they can give you many ideas.

Thanks Shivani for the awesome siggy!

to the forum!! Any species of a similar size and temperament would be a good friend for a tiel, in theory. The problem is each bird is so unique that it varies on a case to case basis on how they actually interact.

I've seen parakeets get along with tiels, rosellas, bourkes, etc if that helps I think a Bourkes or a similar species might be a good match up because they're so laid back and relaxed
