New Member & New Mum to 2 Lorikeets

Hi there Lovely to meet you all.

Six days ago, I brought home two gorgeous baby boy purple-crowned lorikeets. I live in Australia where they are from, but the pet store said that that hand-raised purple crowns are still quite rare, so I'm looking to meet other owners of these little lorikeets to discuss the best ways to care for them.

Also can't wait to discuss care, experiences and tips with other owners of all different types of parrots

You can see their cute faces in my avatar and signature. Do any of the cartoon icons look like them? I can't find one, but I'm not surprised, seeing as how rare they are

Welcome to the forum! We're actually working on having loads more new icons so perhaps the more unusual species can be requested too

I'd love to see some more photos!

Smile Bigger Pictures

DebiWings, catalinadee and Flapping Mama.

catalinadee: Where can we go to request new icons? That would be fantastic!

catalinadee and Flapping Mama: Have attached a couple of photos so you can see the guys up close. They're only babies, but that type of lorikeet doesn't grow much bigger than that anyway

If you ask the moderator, Layla (Oni her screen name is) then she may be able to sort you out. We still haven't got the newest bird icons organized yet though I know she has plenty more to put up as it is! Thanks for sharing photos of your lorikeets. They're beautiful. Definitely a very unusual species to see in captivity
