Hey I'm Rob, I'm 16 and I live in the UK. I love all birds and I've owned and trained parrots since the age of 9 and loved it since, I own a wide variety of beautiful parrots and budgies and in my spare time I look after my birds, work out, read and play computer games. I've got a list of my birds on my signature if you want to check that out but sadly I can't get any pictures uploaded yet but I'll make sure to buy a camera once I've got Oscar a new cage.
Thanks guys, Rob.
I'm 15. It's great to have some new members the same age!
This place is great, I'm sure you'll love it. I'm obsessed! You should also check out some of the other "talk" forums. (TalkBudgies, TalkCockatiels, TalkParrotlets)
So, I guess I'll see you around the forums! Have fun.
Haha I probably did, I like having younger people on here too, it allows everybody to mix that way and it also stops people from being judgemental of age seeing as we seem to know a fair bit
Welcome to the forum!! I have a soft spot for Orange Wing Amazons - I hand-raised one with a leg deformity, he actually was a dwarf. Their thigh bones are too short, so he had stumpy little legs and was very clumsy, but was such a lover. And he loved me more than anyone else I found him a great owner though, so it was nice.
They really do. I mean I know loads (not bragging) especially about birds of prey, and it really irritates me when other falconers (from the US usually - different falconry beliefs) are telling me I don't know what I'm doing and stuff. I only asked questions on other forums and the people were like ARGH YOU'RE DOING SO BAD! I was like no, my bird had an injury, I was seeing if anybody else had a similar accident. Fools XD ooohhhh. As my grandparents would say "you can't keep wishing your life away!" urgh XD
-Sigh- It does get on my nerves. I think it is better on these forums, but I still can sort of tell when my comments and such might be ignored more than one of an adults.
Like, a few weeks ago, I went with my aunt to the Bird Farm and I completely helped her with everything as she bought a bird. She told me I knew too much about them, haha!
That's right And I know it's not that old, I just feel like high school was so long ago now... 5 years this year! I graduate college next semester too And I'm going to be a high school teacher, so I'm finally starting to feel like I'm 100% an adult, not a teenager anymore
I can imagine that must feel weird. I always think about how weird it will be once everyone (at least from my year) graduates....the people I've known since I was so little I might never see again. Things will change so much...
