Hi I've been on talk budgies for years glad there's a parrot board now. I have a 10 month old Sun Conure named Russel who is a little devil but also a huge joy to my life. hes such a character he loves tea, dive bombing cats, any sort of food he can get his beak onto, having baths, and going outside on his aviator harness. I also have 4 budgies and two cockatiels, 3 cats, a bunny, and a degu that complete my furry family.
Yeah lol and Im sure hell be happy to see . :biggrin5:
Roxy is a yellow face type 2 cinnamon recessive pied, Piper is a yellow face sky blue dilute, Spartan is a cobalt blue, and Alex is a yellow face sky blue I hatched the 3 babies from my budgies Tami who sadly passed away at 8 years old, Piper was her first clutch and Roxy and alex were her second. I also have two cockatiels who were my sisters but she moved and never took them lol them and the budgies are now like inseparable
This is Siren whos is 4 years old clutch mate to Dolly
This is Dolly they both loooove to cat call
This is Roxy (mind you we werein the middle of a move and her and Piper had a bit too many pellets:biggrin5: theyve lost their wait now)
Piper, Spartan, and Roxy

Alex my best little budgie
Ooooh and these are two other budgies I own they reside at the boarding kennel I work at: Sky(left) and Violet(right) Sky was flying around outside and was given two me my boss said he could stay at the kennel if I wanted, he was lonely so I bought Violet from the humane society to keep him company they're very lovey dovey.. but man I forgot how hard it is to get them on pellets its taking forever!
A few more Russ pics
Christmas hat I made for him its a little big lololol
Sharing a kiss lol
I just love this picture its not edited or anything it just turned out like that
I just had a bath BRRRRR!
RIP Tami it burns my heart as deep as the sun to look at her but this is her with the babies
Thats Tams in the back with the three kids as babies Ewwwwww dirty cuttle bone my parrot brought it up
Absolutely beautiful birds! Glad to see another bird who tolerates a harness your flock is wonderful; thank you for sharing! I know is belated, but I am sorry for your losses  our birds become such an important part of our lives - it always hurts to rememberthose we've lost along the way
Thanks for all the positive comments guys! I have to say the one thing I would really love, that would complete my flock would be a Congo African Grey, I've wanted one for years but I have to wait to move out, Im 20 so a few more years and I'll get a rescue grey Im also trying to get at the bird kingdom in Niagara falls. I work at a pet store, vet, and boarding kennel all at once for experience.......ohh and I want a husky malamute lolol and a horse but those are farther down the line
LOL I Know! I love any hard to deal with dog for some reason huskies, mal's, akita, shepherds, dalmations, I would really like to try bikjoring with my future rescue husky, and I already have a sweet pair of landrollers but I have to learn to use them:lol:
Ohhh yeah and thanks I started him really young with the harness hell pick at it once in awhile usually only if were just sitting around I want to get one of those bird polly necklacesget them? do you guys know where to get them I've only seen one at petsmart I was thinking I could also prolly make one out of bird toys if I can find a cool one
I have a soft spot for rescues too... As much as I want to rescue m next big bird I think I shouldn't, for my future family's sake. My boyfriend tolerates the birds but doesn't like the noise and I want to have kids in the next few years so a rescued big bird doesn't fit the bill as it stands - but one never knows what the future holds I know at some point in my life I'll be taking in a 'rescue' grey I hand raised a few years ago - his owner is leaving him to me in her will and she is in her late 50's so hopefully later rather than sooner, for all our sakes! I may take in her medium sulfur created cockatoo, if I can, since both birds will need a good home but I told her I can't make the commitment to 2 large loud dusty birds not knowing what the future holds but I'd do my damnedest to get the too in a good home I'm allowed to find a home for coby, the grey, if I need to but I don't want to! Lol
Gosh I know its so hard hopefully she keeps them along time coming. I dont plan on having kids I know Im still young and I do love kids but it doesnt fit my lifestyle and I know I just love my animals so much I dont wanna put them in a backseat, lol too bad he only tolerates them, why cant people see the beauty and love that birds can share. I think they're even more affectionate then a dog.Totally the cleaning is the worse part its like I go in the bird room and two secends later its dirty again the tiels are the worst they always throw around their pellets.
I wanta grey sooo bad they're just amazing, I love cockatoo's I also knew a umbrella cockatoo and she was such a clown, what a bird!
Kids aren't for everyone - my sister won't be having kids, same as you, it's just not her thing.
In his defense, the only bird I own that even tolerates him in return is my cockatiel who doesn't like to be handled. The linnies don't like to be bothered either (mated pair) and goober just flat out sees him as competition and has drawn blood on him twice. He understands why I love them and sees the appeal, they just don't like him Mizu, my first Linnie, really liked him and he really liked her but she's no longer with us. Once we move in together and he's a permanent part of the flock, not someone they see once a month, I think they'll accept eachother much more
LoL Oooh I see the birds are secretly plotting against him when he moves in he'll have to get one of his own, and lets hope it doesnt decide it likes you most  Thst'd reaaaally suck!
I LOVE malamutes haha. So getting one when I move out I must say your flock is absolutely gorgeous! And they have some pretty cool cages too. Hehe I think we all want a grey haha. Lucky nanay! She has one hehe
When I got out of animal care school I told myself I could get a couple cages as a present and they'd be paid off in no time...oops still havent got that credit card down
te he
Here are some dogs that come to my kennel I would love any of these dogs
Heres Kod's a mal X husky that just passed away last year
Ally white shepherd X White Husky I was supposed to get this dog but the kid freaked out so....
Roni is looking over my shoulder from the top of the couch wondering why everyone's dream bird is a grey instead of a senegal. She wants me to report that Ashlynn STILL hasn't learned to stay on the playstand when it is HER turn for mom's attention, and every few minutes of Roni time mom has to stop whatever she and Roni are doing to reach up and catch that BLIMP as she tries to fly over and horn in on Roni's time!!!! Roni wants me to remind you all that SHE learned the lesson about staying on the playstand when it was the little birds' turn for attention in less than a week. Also, she talks better than Ashlynn (for now ), knows more tricks, is quieter, less messy, never overeats, eats anything that is good for her, and is much quieter.
I suggested to her that maybe her tendancy to laugh like a maniac and then run as fast as she can toward my face to bite might put some people off, but she says that's just part of it.
Lol! Roni, I think senegals are darling birds and was going to get one as my first bird until I stumbled upon linnies I like your trick of laughing when you charge people - goober screams 'I love youuuuu' when she charges people
Jenny,
We must always remember NEVER to let those two trade notes!
I look at it this way. At least she always gives a warning.
Honestly, I do think linnies are better pets for most people. Senegals have all of the drawbacks of larger birds, although they can be housed in a smaller cage and they are much quieter.
I do really love senegals. And I see where you're coming from. Just like a big parrot, but a lot smaller hehe
