Conures meeting, bonding and mating, help!

I have a 4 yr old Sun Conure, Goldie. She helped me to get over a serious illness. I am devoted to her. For the last few months I could tell she was, well, wanting to mate. Since I'm an older person, and I wanted her to have a buddy, I decided to oblige and found an 8 month old Jenday Conure, very sweet so far.
I want them to bond, it's a work in progress, but I don't want to lose my bond with Goldie, I also want to create with new bird, pretty sure it's a male, Julie.

I did the same thing years ago with my cockatiel, Gem. She and Sugar are now inseparable, but she has never been the same with me. She is still finger trained, he is barely, but he always follows her. I wasn't around much when I introduced the cockatiels, I was still working. I'm hoping I can intervene and make myself part of this new pairing because we're almost always together. Goldie seems confused and Julie is not quite ready to make his move.

It all feels so tentative at the moment. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks, BirdMama.

One thing is you should never get a bird for another bird because half of the time they end up disliking one another I think all birds would choose their companions over ourselves. However. You could keep them separate and just allow time daily out of the cage together? And still have separate time with each one? I think that would be your best bet. The new jenday could take to you more than her it always tends to be the way
