Newbie here to say hi.
I've been on TalkCockatiels for quite awhile now and have loved the community I found there among bird lovers. I've owned tiels for almost eight years now, and currently own five, having lost one to a prolapsed cloaca a few weeks ago. Recently, my flock has expanded to include a wonderful little pineapple GCC my friend dubbed Reptar and the name stuck. He is the sweetest thing, and such a close companion already. He's still very young, just weaned, and still getting the hang of flying around, but has already improved a ton the past few days and he loves flying to me (aka STRAIGHT into my face). His favorite place is curled up against my neck or buried under a sweater, and he really is such a little clown.
I'm new to the parrot world, since I feel like tiels are just different in all their little ways and I can't wait to learn more about GCC's and larger parrots in general. It's definitely been an exciting journey with Reptar so far. I included photos of him at the bottom. In addition to Reptar and my five tiels, we have two dogs and seven desert tortoises of various ages.
But I included some pictures of my baby and the other birds. In the last picture, from left to right, my tiels are Asher [pastelface pied male], Nyx [WF cinnamon pearl pied female], Tink [cinnamon pied male] and Bird [pearl male]. And hidden inside the cage is Rhea [lutino pied female].
