Hello to all the parronts out there,
I'm Deb, the human in our little flock-family here.
Alex, my Sun Conure (also known as the deconstruction unit) is busy chewing apart a coconut water box at the moment. I can spend a small fortune on toys, yet still he will show the greatest interest for a small shipping box, a coconut water box, or a running shoe box.
Frankie, a Quaker Parakeet, is to my right, currently snoozing on the play perch. Both he and I had a rough night sleeping last night. He always seems to wake up when I get up during the night.
Yes, last night was rather sleepless, as the third member of my flock, Rudy, a quaker parakeet, is now at the Rainbow Bridge. He passed away suddenly this weekend. Of all the times to show symptoms of anything, he left it to the weekend, and by then, it was too late. I dropped him off at the vet's office. Dr. Laura was baffled, as she just saw him two weeks ago for a wellness check. I know that I need answers, but handing over his little lifeless body was one of the hardest things that I have ever done. Alex occasionally glances at Rudy's cage as if to say "Where is he? He never misses breakfast!" Bless you, Rudy; I love you.
