I my name is theresa , I have just become a member. I have two weiro's
JoJo and Teko. Do not know if male or female. But they both like my husband
More than me and it was I who hand reared Teko. A little disappointing.

They both whistle and sing and can say a few words. My hobbies are gardening, playing competition golf and of course Birds.

I have bought an Eculectus parrot, he is 11 weeks old , not yet fully weened
Has been hand reared in a family situation. He seems very quiet but very tame
I hope to bring him home in about 4 weeks. This is one of the reasons I became a member so that I can learn more about what his needs are and as to how many times a day he needs to be fed .

Cheers Wiseowl

Welcome to the forum Would love to see photos of your flock

As for how many times a day he needs to be fed, will he be weaned when you bring him home? If he will be, then you could feed him 2-3 times a day as much food as he will eat. As the ekkie diet is very specific and fresh, you'll want to make sure you change it frequently to stop it from going off (even more important if you live somewhere how, assuming Australia as you said weiros!)
