Greetings from a little flock!

Hello! my name is Skye. I am new to Talkparrots! I have two birds. One quaker parrot, and one budgie. My Quaker parrots name is Mabel, and she has a permanent head tilt, knuckled toe #1 bilateral, some intention tremor, and neuro deficits. I rescued her from my Avian rehabilitation center just today! She's quite a sweet and cuddly bird! She is not cage aggressive, which is AMAZING, considering she is a Quaker. At the rehabilitation center, Mabel was everyones favorite bird! She cuddled in hoods all day, and was so sweet to everyone. I'm so happy she is in my life!

My other bird,my budgerigar, is named Mila. She is a recessive pied, and she's quite the introvert! I've had her for almost two years now, and since I first got her, she's always preferred to stay inside of the cage, or perch on top, and observe. Although she doesn't enjoy much other outside-of-cage time, she does in fact LOVE sitting on the window sill, in front of the window screen. When it rains, I'll open the window and she has a blast splashing in the little puddles and getting her feathers wet with rain drops.

In the past, I have owned a cockatiel named Cheeko, a green cheek conure named Sprecher, and another budgie named Apollo. I miss them dearly, but the future with Mabel, Mila and I looks bright. I'm excited to get myself more involved in TalkParrots!

We are not sure how she got her problems, but she doesn't need any special care, medicines, or treatment for them. My avian vet couldn't conclude wether it was caused by injures resulting in head trauma, or if she was born with them. He is pretty certain she was born with her toes knuckled, though. They don't seem to affect her or hurt her in any way, although she IS a little clumsy and not quick on her feet (hehe). Other than that, we were told she is quite the happy and healthy bird!

and no, I do not have any good pictures to upload yet

That's great that she is healthy and happy despite having some cosmetic issues.
