Hello!

Hi All!

I'm new here (obviously) and I'm happy to see so many bird lovers. I myself have a budgie dude, a parrotlet lady and a conure, who I adopted on Sunday.

I'd love to hear about all of your birds and share stories. I am new to conures so I have a lot to learn

Welcome to the forum Rose. Your flock sounds adorable!

What species of Conure did you adopt? I look forward to hearing more about you Fabies and seeing photos of them.

Thank you! They're my prides and joy. The budgie was the first, and he talks (swears mainly). I have had him for 6ish years.

The parrotlet is 2, she's super feisty and we like to harass each other. She also likes begging my food and stealing it from me.

The GCC I got on Sunday. I think he's 1 or so, because his band says 13 in big letters, so I'm assuming that's the year. The petshop said he'd been there awhile. I visited him twice before getting him, he was just too sweet and cuddly.

If anyone has tips on GCCs, I'd love to hear them!

Your birds are very pretty and I love the blue on your Parrotlet.

I have a pineapple green cheek conure. She is a little nippy due to her being young, but she gets better each day. GCC love to be out with their favorite humans. On top of my head is Serita's favorite perch. Once he gets used to you he should be a real sweet. And GCCs are one of the quietest of the conure species. My girl rarely makes any noise.

They are usually fed a small amount of good seed mix for conures. And lots of fresh veggies and some fruits along with small pellets. My girl eats fresh foods and cooked breads plus noodle/rice mixes really well. They are very intellegent, they learn a few words but like many of the smaller species of parrot, they are not as clear when talking.
