But not to birds. Or pets for that matter. My partner and I, and our almost 11 year old daughter live in Missouri. We started with rescue birds about six years ago. I had a gold capped conure, then a timneh, another gold capped, a green cheek, and two nandays. Sadly, all have passed away now except my 2nd gold capped. We fostered birds for many years through the local rescue. Our last foster was adopted earlier this year. Then we took in a pineapple green cheek that was found outside of someone's home. We tried for months to find an owner but were not able to. So until yesterday, we had Satya, the gc, and Shanti, the gold capped.
We went to the bird store to get cage liners, and my daughter fell in love with a baby rosey bourke. We brought her home yesterday. She doesn't have a name yet.
We also have two dogs and two cats. Luna and Sunny are the dogs, Koe and Kahu are the cats.
This is why I call us the menagerie.
