Not New but Back With Cancer & a Broken Foot

Been around about a year visiting from time to time.

7 Weeks ago got diagnosed with cancer & 4 weeks ago was victim of hit & run which broke my foot...big toe
so I have been in a cast & on crutches.

Went to the Dr Thursday & my toe is healing well. Dr wants me to try to start walking....Yeah!!!!

6 Weeks I have been waiting for a cancer Dr as the one they gave me would not treat me until they agreed to his prices so luckily they found me another who was not the alternate they wanted to give me. A disabled Dr who has speech problems & trouble hearing & is medicated for seizures & his license is on probation so he has to have a back up surgeon in case he can't finish...like that sounds like the DR I want cutting me open????!!!!

Got Cancer Drs appointment next week & hope I can get to it as I do need med transport with a wheelchair & they came without wheelchairs & late 2 times so I missed 2 foot Drs appointments.

Very bad management care I have been receiving!!!

So because of a hit & run I lost about 6 weeks of the "good last part of my life". Could have been eating right doing things but no I had to be homebound barely getting by & no bathing in 4 weeks! Been hard to take care of myself & my Rio.

Luckily the foot did not need surgery to heal properly.

Hope that monster woman who did this to me & her passenger are guilt ridden.
Still remember her riding over my foot & the thump of the driver door side of the car that knocked me down to the street where I lay in the dark & wet rainy road.

The police said there were no street cameras but were looking into business cameras but don;t think they ever got anything...

Hope she gets what she deserves!!!!

Well off to try to see if I can safely take my first shower & wash my hair in 4 weeks.
Hope I don;t fall.

I just took a 1 1/2 hr shower. Sat on a metal foot stool. It worked out well.
Simple things in life like getting rid of a few ounces of dead skin it just peeled off...:wtf:

Can't get my foot in my slipper but I can walk in the shoe they gave me but I've not tried to move my toe yet. The top of the foot is still swollen & tender.\\

The bottom of all the toes are tingly. Sort of a bit numb under the foot. Don;t think that's good. I think I am going to do a mild rub of foot & maybe work to a massage if I can to get some better circulation to it.

Circulation is not good. I had it raised on my other leg massaging it & it got numb & tingly.
I put it down. I guess it it was going to gangrene it would have done that by now but it has some sort of problem. I'm just hoping with time & maybe when the swelling goes down it will be better.
:cry3:

Maybe a vibration massager? Yeah!!!!! That may be just what the Dr didn;t order...

Ooooh feeling much better now that I have showered & I have started walking!!!!

Look how big the right foot looks...

Yikes, you have had a bad time this year. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the end of December 2016 and the beginning of 2017 are going to be better for you. No, they will be GREAT for you!

Now you are hobbling around a bit better and clean once again start spoiling yourself and eating some yummy foods that are good for you. Get stocked up on a bunch of things you will need for after the surgery so you don't have to go shopping after you come home. You never know how you will be feeling as you recover from the surgery so be prepared ahead. Get better SOON!

Hugs to you and Rio.

This has got to be the worst year for everybody, I don't think I know anyone who has had good luck! I'm so sorry to hear of all the things you've got going on. Very glad to have you back here!
