Hello I’m Francesca and I am the owner of a green cheeked conure names Sebastian (Sebby).
We have had Sebby about 2 months now and he’s absolutely amazing. He is mostly nice to the kids but sometimes he doesn’t want to be around them (I don’t blame him!) he tried very hard to be friends with baby cockatiels but they are mean to him and hiss and run away!! It’s a hard life when you have such a big scary beak!!! Sebby was hand reared by a local breeder. He is a very good boy and eats his fruit and veggies. Sebby is very cuddly and loves soft cosy things so we bought him a fleece tent! He loves it!!! He also enjoys cold showers under the tap!
Abit about myself....
I’m 28 with 2 kids and live in Kent UK, we all love animals in our household! We have Sebby (gcc), a spur thigh tortoise (flash), 1 boy guinea pig (Kevin), scruffy lurcher (Lola), an aviary filled with; 7 cockatiels, 2 red rump parrots, 2 budgies, 2 Diamond doves, 10+ java sparrows, 5 bengalese finches, 3 zebra finches, 3 canaries and a lonely Chinese painted quail! And a large fish tank. I studied animal care and management at college and now breed and hand tame my aviary birds and cockatiels.
I sometimes answer questions on talk cockatiels but sometimes find myself asking questions as breeding any animals involved a lot of learning before and during!

Thank you for the welcome I shall take some pictures of the aviary birds tomorrow, they are in a temporary aviary atm as we moved house in April so only just finishing the house! But come spring I will hopefully have some photos of the new aviary. It will be a planted aviary too as I like to make it seem natural. Iíve been trying to attach photos but my phone keeps freezing (could be because my screen is shattered) but I will keep trying
