Hello

Helloo, I Just joined. I have two Budgies, one male who is 5, one female who is 2. They get along great. I recently lost a long lived Cockatoo and am planning on adding a couple of Linnies and possibly a Green Check Conure (is it GC? or GCC isn't GCC Gold Cap Consure? I'm confused on the abbreviation) and would love your thoughts and/or experiences with these two species I'm looking to add.TIA

Hello and welcome to the forum!

I own 6 linnies and they are amazing little creatures! They sound like a guinea pig, decent size to handle, active, bottomless pits when it comes to food and some even learn to talk. The way they hang upsidedown is also pretty unique.

Look forward to seeing what you chose!

hi and welcome i have a GCC (green cheek conure) they do like to cuddle and they are complete clowns they can be nippy at times. kiwi likes to hang out on my shoulder or snuggle in my hair she is not afraid of anything i have bird dogs and one decided to put its nose right up against kiwi cage just pointing her out but kiwi decided to climb down and bit her lightly on the nose. i have never had a linnie so i will let some one else talk about them

Thank you! The Linnies sound so cute - is the poop an issue? I've heard they poop really big LOL!

Lisa, Is you GCC really noisy? Is it a one person bird? I worry about noise when I am not home and dh would have to listen to it if it is a one person bird.

Welcome.. I have 5 budgies ... A parrotlet, a pineapple GCC and just got my first tiel.. My GCC is a very quiet bird and not a one person bird.. I think it is a she and she prefers guys buy loves everyone.. She is a little skittish but not to bad... The tiel so far is fearless and friendly.. Very gentle and so far pretty quiet.

My green cheek Dexter was almost silent until I got my hybrid Pickles. They would chatter really loud together and have some pretty good screaming sessions. Then came Perry, another green cheek, who is in another room. They contact call to him often! And now I have ANOTHER green cheek and a black capped conure who contact call to Perry which sets off Dexter, Pickles and Perry at the same time. So my conure flock is loud
