African Grey

Hello, my husband and I are thinking to get a parrot. We were reading a lot and decided to get an African Grey. Can you please advice me on a good breeder with reasonable prices in ohio or just elsewhere. Thank you a lot

It is a long way from you, but check out wisconsinparrots.com. I got my TAG from them 2 years ago. I see she has TAG and CAG babies. And she now ships via airlines. They are awesome from start to finish. Kind, loving, and GREAT communication. Prices are competitive too. At the time I got mine, I had very little experience with birds, so wanted to start fresh. But with the experience I have now, I'd really consider a rescue. There are so many out there.

I agree with looking on the web. From personal experience I'd visit a few aviaries, meet the breeder, birds, see the conditions etc. a good breeder will have a health guarantee, will give you food to start off, and will help you through anything.

I hope you enjoy your stay here. I can see some of our members are already helping you out - they are a great bunch!

You could try asking in the general forum OR the large bird forum as well for advice from the people who don't check the intro threads (please don't post the same thing in all of them but it would a be suitable question for either )
