Hello, I'm new here!

Hello, I'm new here. We will pick up our baby Pineapple Green Cheeks tonight. So, I will probably have lots of questions for those of you with more experience. I can hardly wait to get him home and start bonding. I hope it is not too painful.

I have many bruises, LOL and I have only had kermit our GCC a week. LOL But they grow out of it, the first few days were the most painful, as they test their beak strength to see what makes you cringe. LOl .They are sweeties and I love mine to pieces! I won't take anything for kermit. He keeps me laughing so much, the way he plays in his baths, and hops when he gets to running too fast. plus hanging upside down on his toys, just to make sure I am watching so he doesn't fall. LOL. You will love your GCC's! They can be a little nippy and you should expect that when it comes to babies, but I am sure you will do great! Bonding with kermit has been amazing. Can't wait to see pics of your babies!!! You have names yet? Welcome to the forum! The people are awesome here, and lots own GCC's with more experience than me! Good luck on your new adventure! Here is a pic of my kermit!

Thanks for all the GREAT welcome and support messages! We brought our baby home and instead of being Capt'n Jack she is going to be Bella. Once we got there and told the breeder what we were going to name it. The breeder said I might want to go with something more feminine. Although, she has not been sexed he thinks she is probably a girl by her smaller size than her hatch mate (who by the way looks just like Kermit) and how he like to feed and preen her. So, we are going with Bella, as we think she is beautiful. I'll try to get picture tomorrow.

She is only 11 weeks old so she is still on formula. Which I am happy about as it will help her bond easier. I was surprised that my husband even volunteered to feed her tonight.

Here is our baby, Bella

This is our first day with Bella and so far, so good. She had breakfast this morning and other than her wearing some on her breast we did well.

She is very sweet and is easily handled. She is already "Stepping Up" very easy and seem to like being held. She has given both of us a few tasting nips but nothing painful...yet!

Here is our first picture of Bella.

Gorgeous!!! I bet the other baby that looked like kermit was beautiful to.I went for the more outgoing one with my baby. There were three and I wanted the very playful one, but he was also the nippy one. He has never been sexed either but we think that we have a male on our hands, it doesn't matter to us either way though we may still DNA sex ours, just because we are curious, and I found the kits to do it on Amazon for less than 20.00. But we love our kermit, and the nippiness has stopped now. He loves my hair and would sit and preen it all day if you let him. He hates being in the cage, and thinks bedtime is for us and not him. LOL plus he is very attached to me and my daughter but doesn't care for my son or hubby. LOL. You baby is so pretty. My daughter wants a pineapple or a sun conure baby, or a cockatiel. She has had a budgie for a year now, and has done so well with him, that we are thinking about it.
