Bonjour, eh?

Greetings from The Great White North! I just found this forum and signed up.

DH and I are owned by two male budgies, one female budgie, one male cockatiel, one female cockatiel (they aren't a mated pair) and one male pied peachface lovebird.

Hope to get to know everyone here, and I am looking forward to learning a few things during my stay here.

Thanks, everyone, for your warm welcome!

I'm not a Francophone, I'm an Anglo, though I do live in Quebec, eh, just south of the island of Montreal.

Posted a couple of photos in a different thread. I do have to get some pics of our budgies, which I promise to do. They're such colourful birds, and so sweet -- DH refers to budgies as 'flying flowers'.

Our budgie, Spiro, shrieks exactly like Mr. Turkle (our lovie) does, except it's not quite as loud as the original.

Ahhh... the bonjour threw me off...lol but I did guess correctly that you were from Quebec! I live in Wisconsin but am transplanted from Canada. I had to go to Montreal for my visa approval appointment. Welcome to the forum and we look forward to pix of your beautiful flying flowers!

Thank you for the welcome, ParrotletsRock.

Where in Canada were you born? I was born in Toronto myself, but moved to Quebec when I was nine years old (father's job transfer) and I have been here off and on since...several years!

Belated Aloha to you

I visited Quebec for New Years once...and as a poor ignorant-of-real-cold person from Hawaii visiting someplace THAT cold and thinking "Eh, my current sweater is enough" boy did I get a painful lesson >.>

Dear windchill...I hate you. So very much. Love me.

Look forward to seeing your little bird friends!

Cold? Us Canucks are geared to be tough, Crackseed! Quebec is a large province, and I'm in the southern part, just south of the island of Montreal where it's 'mild' during the winters! I have heard forecasts on the radio for parts of Northern Quebec...even I shudder hearing about 'em!

Just today I was sitting outside trying to work my newspaper crossword puzzles, and it was only about 5C (40sF). The sun's packing a punch, though.

Both Donald our cockatiel and Mr. Turkle, my clinging vine lovie, were gawking out the window at me.
