Things you'd like to see on TP

Hi Folks,

TalkParrots has been up-and-running for about 9 months now and I'd like to gain some insight from the members' perspectives.

  • What do you like about TP?
  • What don't you like about TP?
  • Is there anything that you could suggest or recommend to improve TP?
  • What could we do to improve the quality of the site and the information?
  • Any other comments?
Answering any (or all ) of the above questions would be extremely helpful, and I hope to hear from as many of you as possible. This site is passing through its initial growth stages and now that we have a foundation to work with, I'd like to focus on expanding the community and the popularity of the forum.

Thanks in advance for any input you can offer.

Best Regards from

Are we supposed to answer here?

I like the fact that we are comfortable to talk about all types of birds here. I like the way the members respect one another and encourage one another. I like being able to edit my posts, because I make mistakes.

I'd like to be able to thank people the way we can on the Linnie Forum. We can say that we find a post helpful here, but I like the thanking thing even better.

Maybe we could try advertising a little more?
You could link & post an advertisement on the Linnie, Cockatiel, & Budgie forums

Thanks Becca!

There is a reputation system here. It's just not called karma. Use this button at the top of the posts to use it:

I do not understand the information in your post, Dave.

I'm not very computer literate. Could you explain a bit more, please?

Thank you very much

i think it is great that we can talk about all types of parrots, and yet everyone is also comfortable enough to talk about off topic things as well.

I haven't been on much lately, but I think this forum could do with a few more members.

I have sent a link to this forum to a few of my bird-loving friends, and I think if everyone else is encouraged to help find more members, this forum could become a lot bigger

other than that, i am very pleased with it.

I like the thanks thing on the Linnie forum too.

Other than that, the forum looks fine. I can advertise if you want!

Honestly?

I really like this forum. The layout is easy to navigate and you don't get lost in myriad sub-forums like other sites. Plus everyone here is very nice

I can't think of anything that I'd like to see being done differently!

ETA: Oh! One thing: I'd rather the thread subscription default to not subscribing rather than subscribing but that's just me. I can deal
