Moshi Mash!

Here is a recipe for a homemade healthy veggie mash that your bird/s will love!
It is titled "Moshi Mash" because my budgie absolutely loves it!
To make this simple healthy birdie treat you will need:
Carrot
Sweet potato
seeds
to make: Cook a sweet potato and scrape some of the inside out. Next, boil a couple carrots(you only need a little sweet potato and carrot). Then mash up the sweet potato and the carrots so that they will be easier for the birds to eat, mix them together and roll the mash into a ball. And now for the final touch! Roll or sprinkle some seeds over the mash. You can hang it on the bars of the cage(I used a green piece of plastic that used to be attached to his seed treat shaped like a bell) or any place they will be able to find it, and then enjoy watching them eat their treat!
You could also add more ingredients or different veggies like a bit of broccoli, parsnip, sprouts, or adding peanuts to the top instead of or with the seed.
Merryn the sennie also has his own "Merry mash" which has peanuts as well as a few more vegetables - he's not such a picky eater as Moshi!
Alternatively, you could blend the mixture and mix the mash in with some seeds(for the more fussy eaters) however moshi eats his just as it is.
Do try this mash, and tell me how your bird likes it!

Just an FYI... I have always heard not to feed peanuts to parrots due to the fact they can carry aspergillosis and aflatoxin which is a carcinogenic... I have never understood why so many parrot mixes have peanuts in them... As far as I know, tree nuts are safe... Almonds, walnuts, pine nuts etc.
