When does your Quaker get upset, you need to be observant for example recently I bought him a new bed n that week that he was sooo loud and cranky and I seen that he wasn't pooping in his bed as he used anyway I started wondering and one night I went and peeked in his cage to see if he was sleeping and sure enough he did not like his new bed so he was not in it and he was just sleeping him his perch so not very comfortable for him since he's used to a bed, anyways I out his regular bed and he was sleeping and he was a lot quieter. Being observant to environment changes, your emotional changes, even what you wear can make them moody certain colours they may not like and jewelry Phoenix never bites me but if I'm wearing rings or bracelets even when I put fake nails on he was scared and would bite me.

    Hey Saralynn

Phoenix is not very temperamental but I notice a few important things that can effect his mood, if he doesn't get at least 12 hours of sleep hell be loud and crsnky alll day so it's important to have a bed time and a time you wake him up, attention he must get it everyday or he can hold a grudge careful not to overdo then they get spoiled and expect that you will give him attention all day everyday (I made this mistake),b When they sleep keeping them covered up is good and makes them feel safe and in the breeding season he's not so hormonal lol. Also look at YOUR emotions if your irritated and you try to handle them they can sense this and will avoid you.
