Hey, sorry I just saw this now. Sadly you heard that Nikki passed away last Sunday bu here's a couple of the things I did to help her get around.
I put a piece of plain white paper on the grate of her cage as she seemed to like standing on a flat surface better than the metal
I also made my own perch for her with untreated pine wood from the hardware store and 2 cage attachment from older perches I wasn't using, I took the metal parts that attach the perch to the cage and screwed them into the wood block ( Whig I sanded all the edges so she wouldn't hurt herself) I also screwed some closed hooks into the wood to attach a ladder or toys too
all her food and water were down low and easily acessible from the cage bottom
she also had a tent to hide in invade she felt insecure by being so low to the ground

- I have a maroon bellied conure called Ziggy and she is the most adorable little parrot ever!
She can do heaps of tricks and loves to snuggle up under my hair. She also likes playing outside and being with my budgie.
I love her to bits and she is definitely the cuddliest and most inquisitive parrot I've ever owned.
I also own one disabled budgie called Bentley.
I saved him from a petshop where he wasn't being treated properly, and now he is Ziggy's best birdy friend (I'm her BEST friend of course xD)
Bentley is very sweet and quiet, and his favourite thing to do is sit with Ziggy and listen the bird noises on CD! - Favorite Parrot Name
- Mr Tinkles (don't steal it! LOL) or Ziggy, or maybe Bentley. I also think Ella is an awesome name..
