The lighting was good in my sunroom so I took a couple videos of my Scarlet-Chested Parakeet "Peeper". You can kind of see what his personality is like in the videos - very slow and gentle. Click on the pictures to play.

He's fully-flighted now and knows how to fly from his cage in the Dining Room - through the kitchen - to the Sunroom.

Peeper

Peeper, my Scarlet Chested Parakeet, is a nice mild mannered bird. He's never bitten me. He gets along great with my doves. I don't think he would be compatible with most other parrots or parakeets, because he is so passive. Even my female Bourke is sometimes aggressive towards him, chasing him off my arm or off the top if a cage.

He is very beautiful, and his personality seems to match. It would take a very special individual of any species to be appropriately gentle with him. I'm glad he is happily safe in your care.
