So, I bleached my hair. :biggrin5:
Take a look.

My birds are absolutely fascinated with it! At first I don't think they recognized me, and then I was talking and playing with them and they were like, "Oh, that's Abby..." :giggle: Kiki keeps playing with my hair and trying to groom and preen me. She's confused. I know birds get weird when you do things like paint your nails, they really notice it. And this was a big change, black to blond.

I love it, it's something new and fun.

Thanks. :)
Next month I'm dying it again to lighten it up and make it look more "platinum" blond and less yellowy.

Very nice, i put streaks in my hair and came out gingery orange

I did put a purple on which it didnt take and then i bleached bits so i can put purple on top but that didnt work either :(

I have to wait a few weeks to put another dye on as my hair will just fall out lol :giggle:

Notice little bald patches thats of years of dying my hair

Mines platinum ish on top black underneath :biggrin5:,

You know what Abby? You look like Lights(the singer)! but with blonde hair lol

Funny steriotypes that work-- dog people tend to me a bit dishevelled(I am one too), horse people can be a bit snobbish(I am one too lol), cat people are kinda crazy haha, and bird people were punky lol

Lindsey - give your hair a baking soda treatment, make a paste of baking soda and warm water, rub it all over your hair, and let it soak for a while. It'll help strengthen your hair a bit and it lifts the dye and bleach out of the hair, but it won't damage the hair at all. I had to do that when I was bleaching to dye my hair red so the hair wouldn't turn so brittle

wow nice hair Lindsey.

I have gone through just about every colour in the rainbow and beyond but sadly my hair became very brittle due to heat and product damage so I have had to let it grow out. I dyed over my hair in blonde and just threw a brown on it. It's virtually natural now (6 or more months later) but on the 21st I'm going half red and half black. Literally right down the middle. I can't wait for these next few weeks to pass. It's being split down the middle and the red will be more dominant 'cause it'll be on the side my fringe swings to so it goes over the black a bit. I was originally doing my hair half black half white but red and black goes with my prom dress more  I will HAVE to upload pictures as soon as I've done it :D
